The Moment We Realized Northeast Trail Junkies Became a Community
As we start this blog to document some of the adventures, rides, and memories we’ve been lucky enough to experience through Northeast Trail Junkies, it only felt right to start with one that really stuck with us.
Back on October 18, 2025, the Northeast Trail Junkies community gathered at the windmills for our annual cover photo meet-up. What started a few years ago as a simple idea to take a group photo has turned into one of the traditions riders now look forward to every fall.
When we first tried the windmill photo a few years back, about 50 machines showed up.The second year grew to around 80 machines.
In 2025, we looked around the hill and saw over 120 machines and more than 250 people gathered together.
It was honestly hard to believe.
We actually debated not organizing it last year because the weekend was already packed with things going on. But so many people reached out asking if the windmill photo was happening that we realized how much it meant to everyone.
This year was also special for another reason — it was our first big event bringing the Ramp It Off-Road tent.
Over the past year and a half, Damion and I have been building Ramp It Off-Road together. What started with selling parts and helping people with their machines has slowly grown into something we’re incredibly proud of. Being able to bring the tent to an event surrounded by the Northeast Trail Junkies community made it even more meaningful.
Throughout the day people stopped by the booth just to talk. Many shared how long they’ve followed the group, some going all the way back to when we were riding our ATVs and the old RZR 900. Others talked about rides they’ve gone on and friendships they’ve made because of the group.
Hearing those stories meant a lot to us.
At 4:30 PM we shut down the Ramp It Off-Road booth so we could ride up to the windmills for the photo, and looking back now it was the best decision we made all weekend.
Seeing machines lined up across the hill, people taking photos, laughing, and just enjoying being together was one of those moments that really sticks with you.
Standing there looking out over more than 250 people and 120 machines, we both had the same thought at the same time.
Somewhere along the way this turned into something bigger.
We didn’t just start a Facebook group — we built a community.
Over the past six years Northeast Trail Junkies has grown into something we never expected. But what matters most isn’t the numbers. It’s the friendships, the rides, the memories, and the people who support each other both on and off the trail.
From the bottom of our hearts — thank you.
Whether you’ve been here since the early days or just joined recently, you’re part of what makes this community so special.
And if this moment at the windmills showed us anything…
It’s that the best adventures are still ahead.
